Since the launch in 2018.
What are you doing at LFT?
I am product architect LiDAR and am responsible for all topics around the LiDAR sensor itself. E.g. specification of LiDARs for different applications, simulation of LiDARs, test of & test tools for LiDARs, filtering of raw LiDAR data from typical LiDAR artifacts to provide a high quality point cloud for the perception application.
What are you currently working on?
Consulting in OEM and TIER1 projects on LiDAR specification for their specific application. Metrology projects dealing with LiDAR & target properties.
What has been your best experience at LFT so far?
We had the opportunity to set up an exceptional toolchain for LiDAR testing and perception, which makes us very flexible in LiDAR test application for our customers.
What do you like best about working at LFT?
I have a few. In general, it's a great thing to help build a company from scratch. It's also great that LFT has a low hierarchy and decisions are transparent to employees.
What do you like most about your job?
The good mix of practical work, consulting and management tasks.
What 3 words would you use to describe LFT?
Solutions Beyond Perception. This is LFT's slogan and best describes what we do.
What do you like to do when you're not working?
Mechanical engineering and cycling. And on the side, my work is one of my hobbies.
What is the best place you have traveled to and why?
I liked India very much because the contrast of cultures is huge. I also liked Korea because it is very advanced.
If you could learn anything new, what would it be?
I played the piano quite well as a child, I would like to invest more time there.
