When did you join LFT?
I joined LFT on the first working day of 2022.
What is your role as quality manager at LFT?
My responsibility is to make sure all software development is carried out in accordance with the Automotive SPICE process capability model. This adherence will help with the overall quality of the results, from minimizing software bugs, to improving planning, communication, documentation and, hopefully also the overall enjoyment and confidence of every collaborator at LFT.
What are you currently working on?
I am preparing the documents for an ASPICE CL1 assessment with a restricted scope. The customer has requested a 3-phase approach for the certification. This requires a gap analysis of the current available processes and documentation at LFT to determine what is required to be compliant with ASPICE, the planning of tasks for the 3 phases, and the negotiation with the customer for their acceptance of the target dates.
What has been your best LFT experience so far?
The ability to interface with the customer directly, I was not interacting with the customer in my previous role, the possibility to interact, and have positive responses from very experienced professionals, all experts in their field, is a great validation of what we are doing. The interaction and expertise at LFT is also fantastic to participate in, and the fact I am trusted to represent LFT in front of the customer is a real honor.
What do you like most about your job?
The autonomy. Knowing it is my task, it starts with me and ends with me. This, naturally, comes with the responsibility to achieve the objectives, the challenge is also something I rather enjoy!
What do you like to do when you are not working?
Hiking, taking photos, eating out, absorbing as much information as I can come across from every source.
What is a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I like to sing to the tune of rock music; however, I need to be rather loud to sound my best. 😊
What is on your wish list for the next 10 years with LFT?
Even more successful projects, I would like to hold a leadership role, this will imply having a team to help us achieve ASPICE CL3 or CL4 while we inspire each other to achieve their highest performance, I would like LFT to be the go-to company, a world-wide referent in LiDAR data processing.
What places have you lived in?
San José, Costa Rica, Pforzheim and Markdorf, in Germany.
What advice do you have for prospective LFT candidates?
Show your passion, trust your education and experience. Confidence comes from understanding we don’t know everything, but we can help the team reach the objective, nevertheless.
