LAKE FUSION Technologies GmbH was founded in 2018 in Markdorf (Germany) by former employees of the aviation group Airbus. The three-person management team initially used their expertise, networks and experience to transfer safety standards from aviation to automated driving.
Now we have come full circle: from the skies back to the ground and now broadly positioned thanks to our Airborne Division. The success has substance: This is proven by around two dozen well-known OEMs and suppliers who already rely on our technology. The company has expanded its foreign presence by establishing the U.S. subsidiary LAKE FUSION Technologies LLC in 12.2022. In addition, LFT is an integral part of various top German and international research projects.
LFT is the only German supplier of this technology. It combines the advantages of many years of experience, the agility of a still young company with continuous growth in the B2B sector.
The company is backed by investors, including Rheinmetall, a leading defense and automotive technology group, as well as LEE Holding, which is associated with SES (Science and Engineering Services), a key player in aerospace and defense services. Additionally, Dr. Eckhard Cordes, a prominent German business executive and former CEO of Mercedes Car Group, is also among the investors, bringing valuable expertise and strategic vision to the company.

Thomas Wichert brings over 25 years of expertise in high-tech equipment sales, with a focus on the aerospace, defense, and automotive industries. As a former Director of Sales at Siemens, Airbus, and HENSOLDT, he managed global operations with a particular emphasis on markets in Canada, South Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. Leveraging an extensive international network, TW leads Sales at LAKE FUSION Technologies as part of the management team, driving growth and cultivating strategic partnerships worldwide.

Bojan Kolmanic is a seasoned software architect with over two decades of experience specializing in embedded software development. Before joining Lake Fusion Technologies, he co-founded CETITEC, an automotive supplier that was later acquired by Porsche. During his tenure at CETITEC, he excelled as the Chief Technology Officer. Kolmanic has extensive experience in building international software engineering teams. At Lake Fusion Technologies, he brings his remarkable expertise in forming and leading engineering teams.
